This offshore platform had a recurring problem resulting in significant costs for the operator due to unplanned downtime and additional maintenance.  The operator had a 48 hour shutdown window to perform the necessary maintenance to fix the root cause of the problem.

Client engineers performed standard reliability analysis taking 4,000 man-hours to identify the cause of the failure.

After the analysis was complete, engineers and subject matter experts had little confidence that their plan to rectify the fault during the shutdown window would be successful.


VROC ingested one year of a historical data set provided by the client.
